Things that always finish easily for me are my face cleansers. I think it’s because not only am I super strict about washing my face twice a day but if it’s bad, I will just use it as body wash.
I am always on the hunt for new, innovative face washes and if I see one, you bet I scoop it up! I am also at that point in my life where I know exactly what products, brands, and ingredients work for my skin so if a face wash meets the green light criteria I have more incentive to get it. If it does not meet the green light criteria I will not pick it up at all, not even to just try because my skin is sensitive and does breakout if I do something crazy.
Let’s start with the Cleansers. Pixie by Petra Glow Mud Cleanser, LOVES! I personally am a huge fan of clay and mud cleansers so when I first read about and saw this, I had to have this and it’ not that expensive, $18!
This product is an active yet gentle cleanser with 5% glycolic acid exfoliates to reveal a glowing, healthier-looking skin tone. Mud deep cleans & detoxifies pores while hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and avocado oil plump & nourish the skin. Leaves complexion feeling smooth & purified. You only need a little product and it squeezes out easily.
My face definitely feels clean, soft, and fresh immediately after using this. At this price point, this is here to stay in my kit. I recommend this to anyone with any skin type. Oily or not. The clay isn’t drying whatsoever. Also does not leave your skin dry or tight as using.
Next cleanser, Pacifica Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash, another LOVES! Also a great price, $10! Not going to lie, I bought this because of the kale. I mean if it’s great for your body, then it must be great for the face too, right?
This kale cleanser is fortified with super green phytonutrients including kale, seaweed and blue seakale along with tropical beneficials of mangosteen and coconut water, this formula is designed to deeply cleanse and remove makeup, toxins and impurities from the skin both day & night. For Oil & acne prone skin types. Formulated without silicone, animal ingredients, petroleum, parabens and phthalates. Another squeeze bottle but liquid-y and comes out super fast from the bottle so be careful! Again, you only need a little. The cleanser is also a great formula (you can kind of tell from the picture below).
I highly recommend because while on my Europe trip, I squeezed out some in one of those TSA friendly containers and took it along with me and my skin stayed pimple, blemish, anything bad FREE! When my skin is pimple, blemish, and anything bad FREE on vacation I am such a happy camper! My skin was also glowing and look hydrated, win-win! It also removed makeup really well so I was happy about that, no vigorous scrubbing or multiple washes needed.
Final review for now is the Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub. Do not buy this. Guys, it smells AWFUL. I was so disappointed because I read so many good reviews but no where did I see a review for how terrible it smells.
It is a great scrub, leaves my skin feeling smooth and the dullness is gone but I cannot get over the smell. I have begun to use it on my body so I can go through it fast (which, thank the lords, is working). No matter how great my skin looks from it, I will not be repurchasing and I do not recommend you buy it (there are other great scrubs that can take away dullness and leave you smooth and smell SO much better).
