Q & A

How do I get pen ink out of leather?

STEP 1

Spray the ink spot with hairspray. Let it sit for about a minute, but do not let it dry. Rub it with a paper towel. If the spot doesn’t come out, wet it again with hairspray and add a drop of clear detergent. Rub with your fingers and rinse with water.

STEP 2

Remove the stain with rubbing alcohol if hairspray does not work. Apply the alcohol and rub the stain with a cotton swab, then follow with a clean, damp microfiber cloth. Repeat the process with a clean cotton swab.

If all else fails you can try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, that has worked many times for me personally.
