What is the best way to remove pomegranate stains?

  • Rinse the stained fabric
  • Turn the fabric inside out, and rinse it under cold, running water to flush out as much of the stain as possible.
  • Apply laundry detergent
  • Cover the stain with a liquid laundry detergent. Work the detergent into the stain with your fingers or by rubbing the fabric together.
  • Soak the stained fabric.
  • Place the stained fabric in cold water to soak for 30 minutes, then rinse the detergent from the fabric with cold water.
  • Add hydrogen peroxide if necessary.
  • Examine the fabric to see if all of the stain has been removed. If it has not, test hydrogen peroxide on a small part of the fabric to make sure it won’t cause discoloration. Rub a small amount of hydrogen peroxide onto the stain for three minutes.
  • Rinse and wash the fabric
  • Rinse the hydrogen peroxide, and wash the fabric as normal. Make sure the stain is completely gone before placing the fabric in the dryer.
