GlamGlow Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer

You have all tried the masks and the scrub with the lip balms. Now what might be next is probably your question like it was mine.

Well thanks to geniuses at the company and the ever changing life of technology, GlamGlow’s latest skin venture is the GlamGlow Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer for Spring 2017.

After the success of Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer earlier this year the company has came out this moisturizer and for all the oily folks there, you better be getting excited.

This pressed, luxurious moisturizer transforms skin with nourishment and moisture for a supple, matte glow. Volcanic minerals act like microscopic sponges to help soak up oil—making skin instantly smooth, but never shiny. The water balm formula delivers optimal hydration and, if used in the morning, provides a prepped, even canvas for flawless makeup application.

The moisturizer is great for normal, oily, combination and dry skin and can be used morning and night after cleansing your face.

What sets this moisturizer apart from its creamy predecessor is, quite obviously, its consistency. I was expecting this to be a creamy cream but once I broke open the cap, I was immediately surprised to find that the cream isn’t actually a cream. The product is a solid balm that breaks down into a lightweight oil when applied to warm skin. It doesn’t leave your skin tacky or sticky after application however which calls for a happy dance.

Because this is a balm, you are less likely to use tons of product and possibly waste.

I found it to be a great base for foundation and makeup. After just using for a couple days, my skin definitely looked hydrated and supple after application every morning. I get oil around my t-zone and didn’t see much of that oiliness during my time using this.

I will say that I definitely wanted to put the lid back on and return it but I am super glad I decided to try this because I am really loving this moisturizer especially as a base for foundation. My only issue is the smell…it smells like an orange creamsicle which is not my preferred or favorite scent.
