Givenchy Makeup Blender Fluid & Compact Foundation Sponge

The last thing I would have picked up at Sephora or Neiman Marcus would have been the Givenchy Makeup Blender Sponge. I am all about trying out new products and reviewing them though so when Octoly and Givenchy sent the sponge I thought let’s give this a try. Let me just say I love beauty products that prove me wrong.

As you can tell I wasn’t too impressed or excited about this product when I first saw it because honestly it just looked like another sponge. Well, today I have a whole another love for this sponge and it definitely has moved up to my number one sponge.

This sponge is one heck of a multi-use sponge applicator for smooth, even coverage. It can be used damp (and I highly recommend you dampen it) with fluid foundations or dry with compacts. It has a new unique double-cone shape of that ensures quick & precise application while its central strip keeps fingers clean. Use the side portions of the cone to apply foundation to cheeks and forehead. Use the tips of the cones for hard-to-reach areas where the skin is more fragile (under eye area, corners of the nose, & upper lip.

APPLICATION: When using a liquid foundation, apply the desired amount of foundation to the damp sponge. If needed, remove excess product with a tissue. For compact foundations, use the dry sponge to capture the desired amount of product. Apply to the face. Use the side portions of the cone to apply foundation to cheeks and forehead. Use the tips of the cones for hard-to-reach areas and places where the skin is more fragile, such as the under eye area, the corners of the nose, and the upper lip.

TIPS 1. USE TO CONTOUR THE FACE: When using 2 shades of foundation: Use the large side of the cone to apply lighter shade to large areas (forehead, cheeks). Use the smaller side of the cone to apply the darker shade to the hollow of the cheek and the facial contour.

TIPS 2. USE ALONE FOR SHINE CONTROL: Hold the sponge by the central strip. Lightly press the sponge over oily areas such as the forehead, nose, and chin.

CARE: Wash the sponge regularly in soapy water. Rinse, squeeze out excess water and leave to air dry.

VERDICT: BUY THIS SPONGE. It will be money well spent and you will be able to conceal underneath your eyes and bake like a PRO. Also, your contour game will be taken to a whole new level.

Pricey indeed but it gets into your corners really well like you mentioned especially that inner corner! That is tricky. For that reason I love this sponge…just picked up a second one in fact.
